Rehearsal recording — live room captures in Shibuya

Rehearsal recording targets full-band layouts in the 42 m² live room—drums, amps and vocals happening at once. We aim for separation without killing the room energy.

This is not a final mix service. Use captures to judge arrangements and tempo; later Mixing or Voice recording can replace parts. We note tempo and key when possible. Ask about combining a rehearsal block with evening Voice recording slots when planning a full production week.

When bands book

First full run of new material, set-order checks, rhythm resets after member changes, pre-venue confidence runs. Choose Voice recording when only isolated vocals matter.

42 m² live room inside a 3-room facility; 32-channel control path and 4 monitor pairs. Studio kit or BYO drums by arrangement.

Bring and prepare

Instruments, cables, tuners, spare sticks. Setlists with tempos speed rotations.

Tune before rolling.
Photograph pedal settings.
Long sets fit the three-hour block.

Session flow

Short level-check take, then two or three passes per song with marked favourites. Downtime counts toward booked hours.

Deliverables

Stereo reference mix standard; optional multitrack spots if booked. Editing for release belongs in Mixing. 48 kHz / 24-bit WAV links; naming tips in Mastering formats and delivery.

We document gain staging choices per song so recalls stay predictable if you return within the archive window.

Reference tracks should note which element you want matched—transient shape, vocal brightness, bass weight—not the entire production aesthetic.

Consolidated feedback emails speed up turnaround; scattered chat messages during critical listening slow engineers down.

When booking overlaps with mastering, tell us the target platform early so mix bus headroom stays appropriate.

Instrumental or TV mixes need separate quotes; mention them before the first pass to avoid rework.

We can provide muted or censored versions when platforms require clean uploads alongside explicit masters.

Check mono compatibility on earbuds before approving a mix intended for wide release.

How many songs fit a block?

The ¥17,600 block often covers four to six four-minute songs if changeovers stay tight.

Bring spare strings and cables; downtime still counts toward booked hours.

Is there a drum kit?

Studio kit use is by arrangement; tell us about cymbal or snare preferences ahead of time.

Can we post references online?

Only with the band’s agreement and proper rights clearance; see Terms and conditions.

Can references become a release mix?

Yes—route multitracks to Mixing as a separate paid step.

How loud can we play?

We set ceilings for the building and other rooms; discuss heavy genres when booking.
